Why No One Seems to Care about Global Warming and the Effects it is having on Our Environment?

If you aren’t living under a rock, you would know how badly our world is about to crash down if you don’t do the needful right this moment. Global warming is at its wit’s end, almost conquering the sanity of the world. If the same keeps increasing at the rate that it is doing now, chances are that our icebergs are going to melt faster than we are breathing.

But, the majority of the people are still not resonating with the wrath the Earth is facing every single day. At this rate, chances are that our future generations won’t even survive to witness this planet anymore.

Why aren’t people bothered?

If you don’t know any better, the world recently did the #ClimateStrike under the leadership of 16-year old environment activist Greta Thunberg. She has been advocating and preaching the need for rapid changes and reforms for the climate to prevent further deteriorating green gas emissions and preventing the further Global Warming Effects on Our Environment.

The question that still remains is why are people still not involved? Here could be a few reasons as to why.

Lack of awareness

The main and possibly the primary reason why people aren’t very aware of global warming are because of the lack of awareness. Not many people are aware of what measures need to be taken and the kind that can change the course of the environment for the better. For the most part, the same needs to be imbibed from the school days itself. That is what makes all the difference.

What will one person do?

This is one of the common reasons why the majority of people tend to not take the step forward. Even if they have better positive thoughts, there are chances that they might back off thinking that just one person’s contribution won’t make much of a difference.

This is wrong because if tried, even once a person can change the course of action. It is all in those small steps. It is all about being a little more conscious of your efforts and that itself can impact the environment and bring down the issues surrounding global warming and climate change.

As Greta Thunberg said, “Change is coming, whether you like it or not.” Come together and educate yourself in ways you can also be a contributing part to improving the environmental drawbacks.
